SAVVY Scholarships

Part of our value is helping participants develop strategies to increase earned revenue. Unfortunately, many independent artists and arts organizations who could benefit most from our program do not have the institutional support or financial means to invest in professional development. To address this concern, we offer up to 100% tuition scholarships.


Application Process

  1. Pay application fee
  2. Complete and submit scholarship application form
  3. Wait for results
  4. Secure spot by paying meals/supplies fee within 2 weeks of acceptance
  5. Remaining fees due by March 1 or subject to a 10% penalty

* Meals/supplies fee includes Happy Hour, 17 meals, coffee/drink service, snacks, variety of supplies needed throughout the week. Vegetarian options available at all meals.

** Housing includes single room dorm with shared bath and wifi access; walking distance from all events.

Scholarship Applicants

  • Eligibility:
    • Demonstrated financial need
    • If you have a full-time position with an organization that supports professional development, be clear about why this scholarship is necessary
    • We prioritize “partner” applications, particularly when an independent artist and arts administrator from the same community (defined loosely) apply, with an eye on future collaboration
  • The earlier you apply, the larger the scholarship and greater chance of acceptance
  • Scholarship tuition rates for accepted applicants:
    • 100% tuition scholarship ($1250 scholarship; $0 due)
    • 95% tuition scholarship ($1187.50 scholarship; $62.50 due)
    • 90% tuition scholarship ($1125 scholarship; $125 due)
    • 85% tuition scholarship ($1062.50 scholarship;$187.50 due)
  • Other fees:
    • Application fee (required; $40)
    • Meals/supplies* (required; $400)
    • Housing** (optional; $400, single dorm room)
    • Bonus day (optional; $175/person; $300/2 people)

To complete the SAVVY scholarship application, you need:

  • Scholarship application fee receipt number (will be emailed to you)
  • Personal information (contact, background info, etc.)
  • 50-word professional bio
  • Essay: Describe why you are fabulous and what value you bring to our SAVVY community. (150-words max)
  • Essay: What do you hope to gain from the SAVVY experience? (150-words max)
