The College of Hospitality, Retail and Sport Management welcomes prospective students and their parents! Deciding which major or area of study to pursue is an important process. HRSM's Welcome Center team is here to help and hosts information sessions, both on campus and online, each week.

On campus

If you are planning a visit to campus, be sure to add an in-person information session with the College of Hospitality, Retail and Sport Management to your tour. In-person information sessions are available Monday - Friday from 9:15-10:30 a.m.

They provide helpful insight about our degree programs, student experience, facilities, career pathways and more. You can also go on a guided tour of the college's facilities after the session.

Online

The College of HRSM offers virtual information sessions by appointment for prospective students and parents on Wednesdays from 4 to 5 p.m. ET. These live, interactive sessions are a great way to learn more about the college and explore our majors without leaving home.

Our Location

The College of HRSM is located in the Close-Hipp Building at 1705 College Street, Columbia, SC. This eight-story facility is the largest academic building on campus, and HRSM has offices on the first, sixth, seventh and eighth floors. In-person academic information sessions are held at the HRSM Welcome Center on the first floor of the Close-Hipp Building.

Collin Crick, the College of HRSM’s director of enrollment management and professional development, hosts daily information sessions to help prospective students find the major that is right for them.
The first floor is also home to the 2,000 square foot, state-of-the-art J. Willard and Alice S. Marriott Foundation Culinary Laboratory.
HRSM Student Ambassadors volunteer their time to help prospective and current students learn more about opportunities at the College of HRSM. Pictured in our Dean’s Office Lobby, this new cohort of ambassadors just completed their training and are ready to help!
HRSM student advising offices are located on the sixth floor, and offer ample room for studying and connecting.
