A Message from the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
Thank goodness it is May?!
Lots going on in the College of Education, beginning with the new vision and mission
statement. Fun fact—we have not had a new mission statement in 20 years! Please
stay tuned for the rollout after final edits are made based on input from the College
of Education faculty meeting on April 26. Justice, Equity, and Transformation (JET)—very
cool. Looking forward to working with students, faculty, and staff to make the mission
a living entity in our programs and policies.
May 3 is Eid al-Fitr (Muslim).

We have reached another successful end of semester and summer is upon us! We look
forward to exciting summer newsletter submissions detailing student, faculty, and
staff equity-related activities.
Please continue to send future submissions to my email firstname.lastname@example.org by the third Friday of each month.
