Michelle Bryan, Ph.D.

Michelle is charged with bridging vision and strategy, developing and implementing capacity building, and execution and leadership of critical institutional initiatives, policies and projects, including reviewing Diversity and Inclusive Excellence grants. Dr. Bryan also serves a senior diversity leader, consultant and thought partner who provides targeted support towards establishing a comprehensive and well-coordinated set of systemic actions that foster greater diversity, equity, inclusion and accountability at every level of university life on every USC campus. She also is an associate professor in the College of Education.

Khristina DeLorenzo

Khristina DeLorenzo is provides administrative support to the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (ODEI) team located in the Sumwalt building. Khristina also assist in daily operations of the office and perform a variety of administrative and financial duties to include accounts management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, answering calls and emails, maintenance of records, generating financial reports and invoices for the ODEI Sumwalt staff.

Kareemah Hosendove, M.Ed.

Kareemah Hosendove reports to and provides executive-level support to the VP. Kareemah also manages and coordinates complex administrative and support functions for the department. With being the HR initiator and overseer of the unit’s budget, she also manages and coordinates a wide range of projects, programs and events in addition to coordinating/assisting with award/grant applications and annual reporting.

Shalama Jackson

Shalama Jackson develops and executes the integrated communications strategy for ODEI, including the promotion of major initiatives, strategic priorities, signature events, and core functions of the office to key campus constituents and the community. Work is conducted under the general supervision of the Director for Public Relations and with guidance from senior staff within the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

Julian Williams

Julian R. Williams

Julian R. Williams is the University of South Carolina's first Vice President for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Vice President Williams leads and oversees a comprehensive plan to enhance and build a diverse, equitable, and inclusive community for students, faculty, staff and visitors on the Columbia campus. Dr. Williams also works closely with university students, faculty, and staff to create and sustain an inclusive learning, living, and working environment where all members of the university community feel welcomed, valued, and supported.

Peyton Young

Peyton M. Young provides administrative support to the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (ODEI) team. She assists both the vice president and the associate vice president with scheduling, coordinates complex administrative and business management activities and more. Peyton graduated from Winthrop University with her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English Language and Literature. In September 2022, she graduated from Columbia Journalism School’s Publishing Course at Oxford University.
